Wonder Project is proud to partner with Stand Together Trust, a philanthropic community that helps America’s boldest changemakers tackle the root causes of our country’s biggest problems, to establish the inaugural Wonder Project | Stand Together Trust Writing Program (the “Program”).
This year-long paid opportunity will pair emerging, passionate, and talented screenwriters who have distinct points of view and unique lived experiences with true stories from Stand Together’s vibrant philanthropic community to create meaningful, inspirational, and hopeful feature screenplays. Examples of comparative titles include: The Pursuit of Happyness, Erin Brockovich, Miracle, and The Blind Side. Together, we will create screenplays that reflect an intrinsic hope in humanity and the power of resilience. These screenplays will be considered for development at the Program’s conclusion.
During the Program, winners will be mentored and will have the opportunity to participate in workshops on the process of development– including pitching, hearing from writers and other industry professionals on the craft, and discussing the business of writing. This Program will be predominantly remote, and may include expenses-paid travel for research and in-person Program events.
